A possible, very minor, character that might show up in my first novel-in-progress. She's an "abomination"- one of the members of a royal line who fails to display all of the traditional traits: pure black and white hair, black lips, pale skin, wide eyebrows, and black eyes. I'll be coloring this digitally soon to post in on deviantART.

Bounty-hunting Space-pirating Smuggler!
*points to title* This is the beginning of an epic design. I couldn't help myself. When this concept came up in a conversation, I had to doodle it. You'll see where I scribbled the idea in the top left corner.

The Finest Ladies of Novarr
Three side characters from my second novel-in-progress: Cori Dawson the Mercenary, Willa Teague the Tavern Worker and Cyra Blair the Trouble-making Horse-woman.
A few days ago the lovely person who inspired Cyra claimed one of my digital paintings had a Disney-esque look to it (hardly an insult, I think ;) ). For fun I went with the idea and came up with a massive page of doodles with many of my novel characters going full-out cartoon. This is a quick digital doodle based on a few of the original Disney-inspired doodles.

Flowers
An oldie, but a goodie- this quickly-drawn continuous line drawing went in my AP portfolio as an example of my unique mark-making style.

The Beginning
Behold an introduction to my sketch blog! Grigori, the merchant, a very minor character from my second novel-in-progress.
As I approach the beginning of my college days as a studio art student, all I can think about is art. I'm constantly looking for opportunities to get my art out into the world and find new inspiration. The muse tends to strike at the most boring and inconvenient of times, but it seems it can't be denied. Therefore I tend to carry around some kind of sketchbook at all times. This leaves me with loads of little doodles, concepts, and unfinished nonsense which may or may not end up covered in commentary from friends. Sometimes I love my doodles, and other times I hate them. Sometimes they appear to be nonsensical, and then I realize a week later that my nonsensical doodle led to the development of a character I can be proud of.
Regardless of the kind and quality of my doodles, they collectively lead me to a certain sadness because I find myself with a massive collection of almost-art that's hardly ever seen. I find myself having no idea what to do with what I've produced after having spent hours and hours drawing. . .
Well, no more!
The things you'll find here may not be worthy of my deviantART gallery, my dA store, or even Facebook, but hopefully they will be entertaining to you. I'm very excited to finally have a place to house my beloved doodles, and I look forward to sharing all kinds of sketches and such as I proceed through the artistic gauntlet in the near future.
